Morgans of Essex Co VA to Onslow, Moore, Bladen and Orange NC

# Note: John and Hannah Ann Barbee Morgan lived for a short while in Middlesex County Virginia but after the birth of John in 1705 their first child they moved to Essex County St. Ann Parish where they lived until John's death. He had a 354 acre a farming estate on Occypacia Creek. 1

1. John MORGAN b: 1705 in Middlesex County, VA Death: 19 MAR 1733 in Moore County, NC m. Grace Boleware Hawkins
2. William MORGAN b: 1706 in Essex County, VA Death: 10 DEC 1762 m. Mary Stokely
3. Mark MORGAN b: 1712 in Middlesex County, VA (named a sons John, Solomon, Mark and Hardy -his Birth: 1740-1748 in Bute County, NC a Hardy Morgan married Sarah Alston: 24 Mar 1777 in NC formed 1712 from Carolina-Bute County, North Carolina formed 1764 from Granville which became Franklin And Warren in 1779 ) Death: 1777 Mark m. Sarah Hinton, acquired 400 acres on a land patent in Bladen County North Carolina 10-9-1747 of which a section later became Orange County. The property joined the South side of the South branch of Newhope called Morgan Creek which runs into the Cape Fear River. Mark and Sarah lived there until their deaths. Their son John sold his part of his Father's estate in 1785 and moved to Moore County North Carolina.

6. Nathan MORGAN b: 1718 in Essex County, VA m. Sarah Brown, opened a trading post in the wilderness trading mostly with the Indians Death: 1749 in -1750 Onslow County, NC, buried on his Plantation near Bachelors Delight Creek
7. Barbee MORGAN b: 1720 in Essex County, Virginia
8. Joseph MORGAN b: 1725 Joseph was one of the first Judges in Onslow County-there were only four.
